Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell has great news involving his recovery from a brutal injury
Thomas Shea-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Texans had a very overwhelming season, defying every obstacle. This team won just three games a season ago but ended up winning a playoff game despite having a rookie quarterback, head coach, and offensive coordinator.

The best part is, they did a large part of it without one of their better players, who also happened to be a rookie. Tank Dell, the rookie wide receiver last season, was looking to be tied with Nico Collins as the best wide receiver on the team. That is, until he got injured.

On a goalline run play, the Texans, for some odd reason, brought Dell close to the offensive line, and his ankle and foot were fallen on. He was injured in Week 12 against the Denver Broncos and didn't finish the season, yet he still finished with 700 receiving yards and nine total touchdowns.

Now, he's recovering, and all fans need to hear the recent update from his personal trainer.

"To be honest with you, he hasn't lost a beat," Diamond told Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2. "He looks 10 times faster. Yes, sir, he's a special breed. He's moving like he's always been doing. He ran full speed. He'll be more than ready for the time OTAs jump off. He's way ahead of schedule. I can't wait to see No. 3 put that helmet back on. That first year was the teaser. He's fixing to up the price."

Dell was a problem when he was playing. He was a deep threat, and his change of direction and route running reached a level we haven't seen in Houston in a while. The Texans have themselves a star receiver.

A lot of fans want the Texans to draft or sign a big wide receiver because they want to get more help for C.J. Stroud. But, when you think about what Stroud did without Dell and the fact that Dell did all of that in just 11 weeks of football, it's safe to say that Stroud doesn't need another weapon, but it would be a luxury to have one. Dell can be a force to be reckoned with if he can get back healthy, and this news is great to support that claim.
